In our Coffee Level One program, students are focused mainly on theory training and efficiency techniques. 

This coffee course is perfect for those looking to enter the hospitality industry that require basic skills training in barista coffee, the training course covers:

  • Preparing a range of espresso coffees
  • Texturing milk correctly
  • Coffee machine operation
  • How to make coffees on a menu
  • Coffee presentation
  • Using & setting the coffee grinder
  • Cleaning & maintenance of equipment

This Barista Basics coffee course (Level 1) is a non accredited unit of competence and aligned to ‘the national unit Prepare and serve espresso coffee’ (SITHFAB204) by the Australian National Training Authority.
 
 
The Coffee Level Two course covers:
  • Preparing a range of espresso coffees
  • Preparing your milk for coffee art
  • Layering of coffee
  • Coffee machine operation
  • Free pouring
  • Coffee art techniques
  • Mixing
  • Practice different types of coffee as you would see on a menu

The Barista Coffee Art Course (Level 2) is aligned to the unit of competence ‘Prepare and serve espresso coffee’ (SITHFAB204) by the Australian National Training Authority. Participants will receive a certificate of participation.

Please arrive 15 mins prior to schedule starting time as students arriving late will not be permitted into class.
