Certificate IV in Hospitality
Certificate IV in Hospitality provides participants with a suite of skills they need to work in hospitality up to a supervisory role.
Participants are trained in the "service cycle" and learn everything from setting tables, to seating customers, to taking orders, to serving drinks, serving plates of food, clearing tables and finalising the customer account and then everything in between.
Participants are also trained in bar operations, learn how to set up a bar for service, take drink orders and then prepare and serve alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks, including Cocktails. Prepare and finalise customer accounts and process financial transaction.
Participants learn how to coach other staff in job duties, how to manage a food safety plan and get an understanding of the demands of management.
Participants are also offered the opportunity to complete a Level 2 Provide First Aid certificate, as part of the course.
The course timetable is offered 2 days per week for 30 weeks at Hospitality Training Australia's training centres.
USI: The Commonwealth Government have recently introduced 'Unique Student Identifier' numbers. It's mandatory that all students attending this course register for a free USI prior to commencement. Registering only takes a few minutes.
The course fee of $3600.00 entitles eligible individual students to receive:
- Student workbooks for all study modules;
- Full participation in all training and assessment activities;
- Certificate II in Hospitality, Statement of results and compliance certification (RSA, RCG, Provide First Aid, Food Safety Handler, Cocktail & Bar Skills, Perform CPR, The Professional Waiter, and Food Safety Supervisor);
- Resume development assistance;
- Work placement assistance and post training support sessions with students;
